Bank holiday Raven guard repaint: success!
Hi all, its bank holiday monday and its all done.
its hideously painted but its done.
now i can concentrate on painting some units nicely!

Repainting my army bank holiday weekend project.
Hi all, so im fed up of my hodge podge army from about a million different chapters.
As we have a long weekend i thought i would take the chance to repaint 90% of my speed painted minis into raven guard.
The list is thus:
6 assault termies
5 tactical termies
15 tactical marines
vulkan hestan proxy (gabriel seth)
predator
techmarine
land raider achilles
3 razorbacks.
RT era dreadnought
heres where i started
And after day 1, heres where i am, black base coat and silver detailing started.
Next up is a black wash,
and doing whites then the final details and basing!

Imperial shields tactical squad wip 1
Hi guys, I've been slowly working on this new Tactical squad.
It's just a 5 man combat squad and will get a razorback when they're finished!
The scheme is metallic grey (not silver!) and orange/yellow.
These guys are probably going to be an imperial fist successor chapter.

Tactical squad wip 1
Hey all, its been a while!
I'm still munching through the new 40k rulebook and its taking a while...So much fluff!
Anyway, im currently working on a new space marine chapter of my own devising as i'm getting bored with all the others.
This is going to be an Imperial fist successor chapter.
The Main colour is metallic grey with an orange trim colour.
Anyway, first up will be a tactical squad.
Ive begun work on a small scenic base for them as this time i want every squad to have a scenic base!

RAINBOW WARRIORS RAZORBACK TEST.
Hi guys, im potentially going to knock up some Rainbow warriors (to be called the less worrying name of Spectrum warriors)
I'm NOT going to use the very unoriginal looking Aztec theme. (i HATE it)
Anyway, i banged out a Razorback quick;ly to see if i liked the general scheme. which i did.
I think now the Rainbow, Sorry, Spectrum warriors are a go!

FINECAST: WHY I HATE IT ALREADY.
Hi guys, recently i ordered some of these 25th anniversary minis.
These were my first finecast mini's and i expected good things as surely all the negative comments had to be just exaggerated anti GW'isms didnt it?
well looks like they were right, they are bloody terrible.
I had 3 minis replaced and the replacements were no better than the ones they originally sent!
Have a look at the state of these.
As you can see they are no good.
Some of you might accept mini's like this, but i urge you do not as you shouldnt have to accept casts that are not perfect (and these are far from good)
That banner is the most bizzarre of the lot, it has a grey powder that rubs off in your fingers! its as if the cast is powdery!
Needless to say i complained about these a week ago and have had no reply from GW.
Today i e mailed yet again as this whole debale has been goin gon over a month now and its really annoying me!
Have your models been like this? and would you accept them?

NEW SPACE MARINE MODELS?
Hi guys, just noticed this guy when i was watching the new Gw paint trailer.
i dont recognise the sculpt at all, the torso armour looks completely different to what i'm used to!
Is it a new sculpt? perhaps from the upcoming paint sets? or maybe the 6th ed boxed set?

WIP SUNDAY: OLD SKOOL TERMINATOR IN AN OLD SKOOL SCHEME

I was just messing about then painting this, the dangerous thing is, i really enjoyed painting these colours.

MINOTAURS PREDATOR SPEED PAINT JOB FINISHED!
Hi guys, i cant believe how fast i banged this sucker out, i only picked the model up yesterday morning, did a couple of hours priming it and basecoating in the evening then finished it off tonight.
Then to be fair its only a colour test! i didnt put a lot of time/effort in.
Now, im sorry but im not enjoying these minotaurs anymore, the colour scheme is a pain in the arse, and it doesnt "pop" very well.
My carcharodons however, although they are grey, seem to pop like mad. so.....
I think i'm moving back to the sharks!
Oh well..
anyway, heres the pictures!

MINOTAURS TERMINATOR LIBRARIAN FINISHED
Its time to rejoice! i FINALLY finished this bugger! its only taken what, 3 weeks? i'm relatively happy with how he turned out. Theres a few positives and negatives in there i can work on.
This was my first go at painting power weapon effects and i'm pleased with how they came out, i will DEFINATELY be doing more of it. However, i'm not keen on how the OSL came out, even though i've been trying it for a while now! more practice required me thinks!
The bronze/gold is a bit of an odd one, it would help if Forge world themselves had a consistent colour for these guys, just look at the colour of that relic contemptor on the website, then look at the colour in the IA books! totally different!
It doesnt help with the colour being called "bronze" as it can be anything from a very dark copper, to a highly polished bronze/gold (which i want!)
Anyway, onto the pictures!
